Cacao Ceremony & Ecstatic Dance at Hof Jakob with Annette & Marcus

We will have a wonderful evening to dance and connect with ourselves and others in nature at Hof Jakob around the fire. Join us with cacao, grounding ourselves, and revitalizing our spirits. Your facilitators: Annette (aka DJane Kawoq playing a LIVE DJ Set) and Marcus (guitar).
Our evening starts with a cacao ceremony, fostering a deep connection with our hearts & Pachamama, our Mother Earth. Following this, we’ll engage in a some playful exercises before transitioning into a 2-hour Ecstatic Dance session. To conclude the night, we will gather around the fire to sing Medicine Songs.

You can reach our farm with the RE1 from Berlin-Ostkreuz to Jacobsdorf (Mark) in 42 minutes. From there you are welcome to use our shuttle service.Ecstatic dance is a form of dance in which the dancers without the need to follow specific steps, abandon themselves to the rhythm and move freely as the music takes them, leading to trance and a feeling of ecstasy. Dancers often feel connected to others, and to their own emotions. The dance serves as a form of meditation, helping people to cope with stress and to attain serenity.

• Ecstatic dance has been practiced throughout human history, including in classical times by the followers of the wine-god Dionysus. In the ancient and widespread practice of shamanism, ecstatic dance and rhythmic drumming were used to alter consciousness in spiritual practices. Ecstatic sacred dances are known also from religious traditions around the world.
