The lucent Nectar of the Dreamer

Awaken the Dreamer Within: A Journey Through Myth, Art, and the Magical Child

Our Prayer
’…May the sweet nectar of life nourish our souls, and may we rediscover our magical child and dream a world full of beauty, magic, and adventure into being. Will you embark on this journey full of wonders…’

Dear Dreamers, Artists & Visionaries,

We, Annette Assmy & Sophia Cara Hahn, warmly invite you to a co-creative retreat—a three-day journey (March 21-23, 2024) where dreams take form, myth comes alive, and artistic expression weaves us into a living ritual.

𓆸The Dream Theater Retreat
A sacred gathering where we unite in creativity, movement, and storytelling to birth a unique Ritual Theater Performance—to be presented at the Dream Sanctuary on June 20th at Genezareth Church, Berlin. If you feel called to explore the depths of imagination and co-create with fellow seekers, this is your invitation.

𓆸 Dreams as Portals to the Soul
This retreat is a sacred invitation to awaken the dreamer within—the part of you that knows how to create, explore, and embrace life with awe. Hidden worlds lie within, layered beneath time and conditioning, waiting to be rediscovered. Dreams speak the language of the soul, offering symbols and guidance that bring us back to our essence. Myth serves as a map, leading us through these inner landscapes toward wholeness.

𓆸 We Are Co-Creators
In this space, we will not only explore myths but bring them to life through art, movement, and collective storytelling. Each participant is both dreamer and creator, shaping our shared experience through their unique gifts. Over three transformative days, we will co-create a Dream Theater—a ritual performance woven from our collective visions, symbols, and archetypes. This is an immersive, participatory journey where our creativity becomes the thread that binds us together.

𓆸What Awaits You

𓆸Friday, March 21st – Opening the Portal
Gather in sacred circle at 5 PM, setting our intentions and creating a shared altar of transformation.
Enter a world of myth and storytelling, where dreams become the seeds of creation.
Immerse yourself in the Blue Lotus Ceremony, awakening higher consciousness and deepening your connection to the dream world.

𓆸 Saturday, March 22nd – Shaping the Dream

Engage in embodied practices, movement, and art to invoke the energies of the visionary, the mystic, and the creator within.
Share and weave dreams into a collective tapestry, shaping the narrative of our Ritual Performance.
Collaborate through storytelling, voice, and movement, allowing each participant’s creativity to shape the unfolding journey.

𓆸Sunday, March 23rd – Dream Theater & Integration
Step into a sacred co-creative space where we bring our shared vision to life.

Express the stories, symbols, and dreams that emerged through movement, sound, and ritual performance.
Anchor the wisdom we have uncovered and prepare for its continuation in the Dream Sanctuary performance on June 20th.

Departure around 4 PM.

𓆸 The Heart of the Journey

𓆸 The Magical Child Within
The magical child is the source of our creativity, joy, and courage—the part of us that speaks with insatiable curiosity and dreams without limits. By awakening this essence, we reclaim the deep well of imagination and wonder that resides within us.

𓆸 Myths as Maps of the Soul
Myths are the oldest language of humanity, guiding us through our personal and collective stories. By embodying these archetypes through imagination, art, and ritual, we reclaim our power to shape and transform our reality.

𓆸 Dreaming with the Blue Lotus
The Blue Lotus, a sacred plant revered for its ability to enhance lucid dreaming and open gateways to higher consciousness, will guide us inward. This sacred ally offers insight and inspiration, illuminating new paths for creative exploration.

𓆸 Co-Creation as Ritual
This Dream Theater is not a performance for an audience but a sacred act of co-creation—a weaving of dreams, myths, and artistic expression into a living ritual. Together, we bring forth a collective vision, honoring the power of imagination and the stories we wish to live into being.

𓆸Why Join This Retreat?
𓆸 Awaken Your Inner Dreamer – Reignite creativity, imagination, and joy.
𓆸 Explore Active Imagination – Connect with universal archetypes through dreams, art, and play.
𓆸 Renew Your Spirit – Step into a sacred, nature-filled space designed for reflection and transformation.

𓆸Continue the Journey
Our creative process continues with follow-up gatherings in Berlin on May 7th, May 21rst, and 4th of June leading to our final Ritual Performance on June 20th.

𓆸 Reserve Your Space & Join the Circle
We seek a dedicated group of creative souls ready to co-create this artistic pilgrimage. Your dreams, imagination, and unique creative gifts will shape the Ritual Performance and breathe life into our collective vision.

What is Ritual Theater?

Ritual Theater is a form of performance that blends the spiritual and artistic, using theatrical elements to enact symbolic, sacred, or transformative experiences. Rooted in ancient traditions, it often involves storytelling, music, dance, and ceremony to evoke a connection to deeper truths, collective archetypes, or universal myths. Unlike conventional theater, its goal extends beyond entertainment, aiming to inspire reflection, healing, and a sense of communal or cosmic unity.

What is the benefit of your participation?

Participating in or experiencing a Ritual Theater piece offers profound benefits, as it engages both the psyche and the spirit:

𓆸 Self-Discovery and Healing
Ritual Theater delves into universal archetypes and personal narratives, offering participants a safe space to explore your inner world. It can bring buried emotions to the surface, fostering healing and self-awareness.

𓆸Connection and Community
It creates a shared sacred space, helping you to feel connected to a larger whole—whether that be our community, or the universal human experience.

𓆸 Transformation and Empowerment
By enacting symbolic acts or embodying roles, you can transform limiting beliefs or traumas, gaining a sense of empowerment and renewed perspective.

𓆸 Creative Expression
Ritual Theater allows you to tap into your creativity in a meaningful way, merging artistic expression with spiritual intention.

𓆸Sense of Sacredness
Engaging in ritualistic performance imbues everyday life with meaning, encouraging mindfulness and a deeper appreciation of the sacred in the ordinary.

𓆸Alignment with Archetypal Energies
Through mythic storytelling and symbolic gestures, you align with archetypal energies that can provide insight, inspiration, and guidance for your personal journey.

It is a transformative experience that bridges art, healing, and spirituality.

‚…Ritual theatre quite simply is the enactment of a myth or archetypal story with the intention of bringing about healing– usually to resolve an issue, to deal with a difficult life experience, to restore depleted energies or to ease a transition. This is potent facilitating the healing of psyche and soul and much closer to the kind of ritual healing ceremonies that took place in ancient times and in tribal societies…’

𓆸 Myths

In ancient times, Myths were created as explanations for the many mysteries of life. Even our ancestors contemplated the creation of earth, natural disasters, flaws in humanity, death, and love.
The word myth is derived from the Greek word mythos, which means "story."
You'll find that many myths are set in a timeless place and involve a plethora of symbols that have multiple meanings. This is what makes myths such an interesting study: decoding their symbols.
Myth is a human construction. Myth is also a reflection of society and the collective. In Myth we realize that there are other worlds existing. A Myth is a journey to a bigger Story. Myth in former times were danced, sang and painted through Rituals. They were Expression of Nature.

𓆸 DREAMS

‘…Dreams are not „foams“. In fact, dreams are the stuff that we are made of…’ Robert Moss

In the language of ancient Egypt, a dream is both an awakening and a place. When we close our ordinary eyes, our eyes of vision opens. When we go dreaming, we travel to other places - perhaps to other times or other dimensions and/or receive visitations from other travelers. From this ancient perspective, dreams are not just things that bubble up from the personal subconscious when we sleep; they are places we go and experiences in which we awaken to realities that may be more, or less "real" than everyday physical existence. This perspective is wiser and deeper than much contemporary discussion, in which dreams are often described as passive and entirely personal experiences.
